The Osaka Museum of History, a modern 13-story building, was built in 2001 as a relocation of the Osaka Municipal Museum and is known as the “Naniwa Rekihaku”.
Each floor of the museum is divided into different periods, and the history of Osaka from the Asuka Period in ancient times to the present day is introduced visually and in an easy-to-understand manner.
The museum also offers tours to visit ancient ruins that have been dug out of the ground, allowing visitors to enjoy not only history but also archaeology.
